Men's Premier Head Coach Announcement

Bay Olympic Chair John O’Hagan has announced that Peter Smith will continue as Head Coach for the Men’s Premier Team in the Northern League for the 2025 season.

O’Hagan stated, “Following a thorough review of the 2024 season, the executive committee unanimously agreed that reappointing Peter Smith as Head Coach was the best decision for our club. We are excited for Peter to build on the strong performance he and the team delivered during the season.”

Peter Smith, who stepped up from his role as assistant coach midway through the 2024 season after Rudy Mozr’s departure to Europe, guided the team to a 6th place finish in the Northern League. This was a step forward on the work he and Mozr started in 2023. His leadership and commitment to improvement have been evident throughout his tenure.

Smith brings valuable experience to the role, having previously served as Head Coach of WaiBOP United during the ASB Premiership era and as Director of Football at Mt Albert Grammar School, where he played a key role in youth player development.
